Woman wanted in Salisbury deadly hitandrun

SALISBURY, N.C. – Police are looking for a woman wanted in connection to a fatal hit-and-run accident in Salisbury back in February, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Tavita Diaz, 29, is one of three individuals the police are looking for in connection with the accident that happened
on Feb. 20 at South Main Street and Airport Road.
Around 10:40 p.m., police said Diaz, driving a white Toyota Corolla, turned left onto Airport Road and entered the path of four motorcycles traveling south on South Main Street. Diaz and two others individuals allegedly exited the Toyota after the accident and fled the scene on foot.
One of the motorcyclists, 54-year-old Jody Holloman, was pronounced dead at the scene. One motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and another sustained minor injuries.
Diaz is also wanted for outstanding warrants for identity theft and possessing fraudulent identification that is not related to the accident, police said.
