(KRON) -- A man was shot and killed in West Oakland on Sunday afternoon, according to the Oakland Police Department. Police responded just after 2:45 p.m. to the 300 block of San Pablo Avenue on the report of a ShotSpotter activation. Officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. H e was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities said the victim was an Oakland resident but withheld his name pending notification of his family.
