(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)Devontai Luellen (Courtesy of Lancaster County Corrections) LINCOLN–(KFOR Mar. 1)–A 33-year-old Omaha man is behind bars, after he was seen doing donuts in his car in the parking lot of Gateway Mall late Saturday night, that later led to a pursuit in south Lincoln. According to Lincoln Police, an officer saw the car doing donuts and conducted a traffic stop and when the officer approached the vehicle and told the driver, Devontai Luellen, to pull over to a safer location.  There were other people inside, including juveniles. Police say the vehicle then sped off.  The Nebraska State Patrol air wing tracked the vehicle, until it stopped near 42nd and Pioneers, where the occupants were picked up by another vehicle.  That second vehicle was tracked to a neighborhood southwest of 84th and Van Dorn, not far from Lux Middle School. Luellen was taken into custody and arrested for operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and three counts of child abuse.  The juveniles in the vehicle were identified as Luellen’s children, ages 13, 13 and 8.  Luellen was also cited for willful reckless driving and possession of marijuana.
