Brrr!
After a downright gorgeous start to the weekend, we’ve been treated to another significant winter dip. Hopefully you got outside Saturday when temps spiked up into the mid 50s.
Come Monday, feels like temperatures are expected to be in the single digits for many of us in the tri-state
. Spots along Long Island, in Connecticut and the Hudson Valley could feel below 10 degrees by 7 a.m.
We’re certainly feeling some weather whiplash after Saturday’s gorgeous break from the winter doldrums. Temperatures could drop by more than 20 degrees within two days.
After Sunday morning’s temp dig and snow flurries, much colder air follows late into the night and into Monday morning, when wind chills drop down into the single digits and teens.
With all that cold comes another chance of snow.
Right now, we’re eyeing another quick burst of snow Tuesday afternoon that will likely turn to rain by the evening. Once that wraps up, conditions take a drastic improvement — we climb into the 60s!
The back half of the week holds the good news. Our temperatures slowly climb back up and reach the upper 50s by next weekend.
The following Monday and Tuesday look to clear 60 degrees.
These warmer days offer the first hints of spring, which officially arrives on Friday, March 20. But who’s counting.
