Six people were injured, three critically, in a multi-car crash early Sunday in the North Center neighborhood, Chicago police said.Three cars were involved in the crash around 3:20 a.m. in the 2300 block of West Addison Street.The driver of the first car, a black Honda sedan, was speeding east on Ad dison Street when he ran a red light, according to police. The Honda struck a white Toyota SUV, which was facing south on Western Avenue.The impact caused the Toyota to flip upside down and crash into a light pole, police said. The Honda lost control and struck a black Toyota sedan facing north on Western Avenue.All three occupants of the Honda sedan were taken to area hospitals in critical condition, according to police. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center suffering from a head injury. An adult female passenger was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with head and internal injuries. A 33-year-old male passenger was taken to Illinois Masonic with head and arm injuries.The driver and passenger in the Toyota SUV were in fair condition at area hospitals, police said. The driver, a 57-year-old man, was taken to Illinois Masonic with head lacerations and chest bruises. The passenger, a 37-year-old man, was at Northwestern suffering from head lacerations.The driver of the Toyota sedan, a 41-year-old woman, was in good condition at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital, according to police.Citations are pending as police investigate the crash. ...read more read less
