Officer Involved shooting suspect Robert Bures (Photo Courtesy of LPD)LINCOLN–(KFOR Feb. 28)–The Lincoln Police Department on Friday identified the burglary suspect and officer involved in the shooting outside of the Office Depot at 48th and R early Wednesday morning. In a media release to KFOR News, LPD Public Information Office Manager Erika Thomas said the suspect, 49-year-old Robert Bures, of Lincoln, remains in the hospital recovering from multiple surgeries after he was shot by Officer Kirby Urbanek. Bures is accused of shooting at Urbanek outside Office Depot near 48th and R streets on Wednesday before Urbanek returned fire, striking him in the “lower extremities.” Urbanek was not injured in the shooting.
