d Aquariums.
There are four names for you to cast your vote. Each name idea is in honor of a Village Birth Attendant in the YUS Conservation Area of Papua, New Guinea, which is the home of the Matschie’s tree kangaroos. . VBA’s are local midwives who volunteer to support women through pregnancy and childbirth in remote communities where no doctors or trained nurses are available.
The names to choose from are Rosenke, Samala, Tarawe and Yautoka.
The Lincoln Children’s Zoo is a partner for the Tree Kangaroo of Papua, New Guinea SAFE program. Conservation is deeply connected to the people who live in and care for their habitat. Healthy communities are better equipped to help protect the cloud forests that endangered tree kangaroos depend on.
