People at a municipal open house on Tuesday provided opinions about the 20 Tan bus route, which connects disparate areas of Park City. The route links places like Silver Lake Village, Snow Park, the Main Street core, Park City Mountain, Thaynes Canyon and Park Meadows. One of the poster boards o n display at the event asked people to provide comments about the future of the route. People left brief written comments, which included: “We live up Sunny Slopes. Worthless for skiing. Does not run at night so worthless for going downtown. Total fail for us.” “Tan line needs to run to service longer on weekends until 9 pm/10 pm for enjoying Main St., dinner, The Egyptian Theatre, Eccles, DV Utah Symphony, possibly Canyons.” “With Snowpark at DV being demolished maybe more during the week.” Materials at the event described a municipal proposal for the 20 Tan route. They indicated officials have received interest in increased frequency. “To make this possible, we propose operating the 20 Tan as a weekend-only service (Friday through Sunday) rather than seven days a week. This adjustment would allow us to concentrate service on the highest-demand days and provide more frequent trips during those times while keeping to the current budgetary limitations,” the materials said.
