A man and his dog were shot and wounded after he told a speeding driver to "slow down" Tuesday morning in West Pullman on the Far South Side. The 50-year-old man was on his porch as he was warming up his car around 7:25 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of East 117th Street when he yelled at a speeding red vehicle to "slow down," according to Chicago police reports obtained by the Sun-Times.The red vehicle then circled back around and an armed individual opened fire, striking the man and his dog, police said. Eight spent shell casings were recovered from the scene, police said. The man was taken to the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and buttocks and was reported in good condition, officials said.
