Lifts will help kids
Feb 25, 2026
Park City Ski Snowboard serves more than 1,200 kids in our area. These are athletes with incredible potential who seek us out thanks to the caliber of Park City’s diverse training facilities, which rank among the best in the country.
The facilities at Park City Mountain in particular are cri
tical to our club’s diversity and vibrancy. It’s not just the convenience of the Mountain Village base area or their wonderfully accommodating team, who are true partners. Our members benefit from consistent investment by Vail Resorts in Park City Mountain’s terrain and infrastructure, which enables our coaches and athletes to maximize their skills across our nine skiing and snowboarding disciplines.
Park City Ski Snowboard offers a wide range of programs in a competitive landscape, and we simply could not do that without the steadfast support and commitment to investment that we get from Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts.
That’s why we were thrilled to learn about the plan to replace Eagle and Eaglet with a high-speed six-person chairlift. This straightforward improvement to two chairlifts installed in the 1990s is crucial to the success of our programs.
The midstation is especially thoughtfully planned, providing options for access to the 3 Kings and Pick ‘N’ Shovel terrain parks and halfpipe. Our ability to get coaches and kids up the hill and out of the base area swiftly in the morning will not only improve our program offerings but create a better experience for all guests as well. These lifts are a victory for the Park City community and will keep us on top of the podium in more ways than one!
Continued investment by Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts will be critical for Park City Ski Snowboard’s future growth and success as we continue to offer training facilities that are arguably among the best in the world.
Their plan has our full support from the board of directors, our coaches, and ourselves as chairman and vice chairman and deserves enthusiastic support from the whole Park City community.
