INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Singer-songwriter and guitarist Christopher Cross will make his debut at the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel this June. The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 21, at the Payne Mencias Palladium. Tickets for the event star t at $35 and will be available for purchase starting this Friday. Cross rose to fame in 1980 with his self-titled debut album. The record featured the No. 2 single “Ride Like the Wind” and the No. 1 hit “Sailing.” The album earned Cross five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. Beyond his debut album success, Cross co-wrote “Arthur’s Theme” for the motion picture “Arthur.” The song became a No. 1 hit and earned him an Academy Award for Best Song.
