Suspected DUI driver rams into Santa Rosa home, causes major damage

(KRON) -- A Santa Rosa driver who police said was intoxicated at three times over the legal limit crashed into a home on Saturday evening, according to authorities.
The Santa Rosa Police Department responded at 6 p.m. to the 800 block of Burbank Avenue on the report of a truck striking a residence.
Responding officers found that the truck’s driver, identified as 37-year-old Diocelina Palacio‑Soriano, had crashed into the front of the home and caused “significant structural damage,” police said.

Palacio‑Soriano first crashed into a vehicle being driven by a juvenile before hitting the house, according to the Santa Rosa PD.
A DUI investigation determined that Palacio‑Soriano was intoxicated, police said, and a chemical breath test showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of approximately 0.25%.
Palacio‑Soriano was arrested and booked into jail for DUI causing injury, driving with a BAC of 0.08% or higher, and child endangerment.
