Three of the four north bound lanes of the Interstate 5 will be shut down this weekend at Gilman Drive and La Jolla Colony Drive. The closure began Friday night and will pick back up Saturday night at 7 p.m., reopening 11 a.m. Sunday morning. One lane will remain open during construction. Caltrans crews will be working on bridge repairs. They will also shut down the connector from the 52 west to the I-5 north. The off ramps at La Jolla Colony Drive will also be closed. All northbound Metropolitan Transit Service bus routes to La Jolla and University Town Center (UTC) will be running as usual. Blue Line Trolley service will remain available as an alternative to travel from Old Town to all points north. Trolley parking is available at the Old Town and Balboa Avenue stations.
