(KRON) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection to an incident in which two people were found dead in a Pleasanton home earlier this week. The Pleasanton Police Department responded on Wednesday morning after reports of gunshots at a residence on the 3100 block of Joanne Circle. Two adults with multiple gunshot wounds were located at the scene and pronounced dead by first responders. They were identified as a 67-year-old woman and her 28-year-old son. The Pleasanton Police Department announced on Friday it had identified 31-year-old Allen Swadley of San Jose as a suspect in the incident. The San Jose Police Department contacted Swadley late Thursday evening during a traffic stop as a result of an Automated License Plate Reader notification. SJPD detained the suspect and transferred him to the custody of the Pleasanton Police Department. Robbery suspect shot by police in East Bay Swadley, police said, was later booked into Santa Rita Jail on two counts of murder. Police also recovered multiple firearms from his vehicle and residence. Further testing will be required to determine if any of the firearms were used in connection to the crime. Swadley, according to police, had a recent dating relationship with a family member of the victims. He has no prior criminal history. Pleasant PD has identified the victims in the crime as 67-year-old Lori Simonds and 28-year-old Evan Simonds, both of Pleasanton. ...read more read less
