(KRON) — A 59-year-old woman was hit and killed by a car in Hayward on Feb. 17, according to the Hayward Police Department. The woman was walking on the 23000 Block of Mission Boulevard at about 9:21 p.m. when a 27-year-old woman hit her with her car. “Medical personnel responded and transport ed her to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced deceased,” Hayward PD said. “The identity of the pedestrian is currently being withheld pending notifications to next of kin and formal identification protocols by the Alameda County Coroner’s Office.” Mill Valley mother among those lost in deadly Tahoe avalanche Police do not suspect that the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
