Disneyland Resort is setting the record straight following reports claiming a tree fell on top of a visitor amid Southern California’s stormy Tuesday night. In a statement to NBC Los Angeles, a spokesperson for the resort confirmed that a tree on the patio of the Plaza Inn, a restaurant inside the theme park, fell around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday. The spokesperson said that because of the rain, no diners were seated on the patio. The statement went on to explain that two visitors were treated for “minor grazes” at the scene. It did not specify how the visitors got their injuries. The Disney Fire Department assessed the scene and crews worked to clear the tree overnight. Southern California was hit by a storm Tuesday that delivered mountain snow, flooded streets and measurable rain across the region.
