COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ) One person is dead after a crash occurred Wednesday in Cole County, according to a social media post from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F. Two vehicles are involved in the crash and are blocking the roadway on Highway 54 at Monticello Road, the post says. A helicopter arrived at around 12:30 p.m. to take one of the people in the crash to a hospital, MSHP shared on its social media. MSHP is asking motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
