The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said a man died in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree and caught fire.FHP said a man was driving a sedan east on Sarasota Square Boul evard near Prestancla Boulevard at around 4:05 a.m. on Feb. 18.According to the report, the sedan traveled onto the raised grass median, collided with a tree and caught fire.The driver was the sole occupant and pronounced dead on the scene, per FHP.Sarasota Square Blvd was shut down in both directions following the incident between Potter Park Drive and McIntosh Road, according to FHP.All roads in the area have reopened as of 8 a.m. on Feb. 18, per FHP.FHP said it has not positively identified the driver, and the crash remains under investigation. ...read more read less
