An updated winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 4:11 a.m. in effect until Thursday at 1 a.m. for Erie and Wyoming counties."Areas of freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a few hundredths to around one quarter of an inch," explains the wea ther service. "The highest risk for freezing rain in Erie County will be north of the Buffalo Airport and I-90, with a minimal risk for freezing rain across the City of Buffalo.
