A 14-year-old boy was wounded while he was standing outside Monday night in the Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said. Officers responded to a call of a person shot shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the first block of East Washington Street where the victim was outside when someone pulled out a weapon and opened fire in his direction. The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the left foot, and was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
