Milder air builds after fog then a few midweek showers | Feb. 15, 2026
Feb 15, 2026
TONIGHT
Skies trend mostly clear early, then patchy fog develops late, with a few pockets turning dense toward daybreak. Low in the mid 30s. Wind calm to 5 mph. Biggest impact is visibility, especially on rural roads and near low spots and waterways, so slow down and use low beams in thic
ker fog.
TOMORROW
Fog lingers into the morning, then a brighter and milder day takes over with a mix of sun and clouds. High in the mid 50s. Wind south southwest around 5 mph. After the fog lifts, it is a good afternoon for outdoor plans but keep an eye on lingering wet spots where overnight moisture condenses on colder pavement.
TOMORROW NIGHT
Mostly cloudy and mild for February with a low near 40. Wind south around 5 mph. Impacts are minimal, but the mild night continues melt and can keep creeks running higher than normal.
TUESDAY
Mostly cloudy and still mild with a high near 60. Wind south around 5 mph. With clouds holding, the day feels a bit subdued, but the warmth keeps the thaw going and can worsen ice instability along rivers.
TUESDAY NIGHT
Cloudy and breezier with a low in the lower 50s. Wind south southeast around 10 mph with gusts near 30 mph. A few showers are possible late, and the wind may make it feel more like early spring than mid February.
WEDNESDAY
A warmer push arrives with a chance for showers and a few rumbles early, then partial sun later. High near 70. Wind southwest around 15 mph with gusts near 35 mph. Impacts include tough driving for high profile vehicles on north south roads, and any isolated thunder could briefly spike winds and produce a quick downpour.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Partly cloudy and cooler with a low in the mid 40s. Wind west southwest around 10 mph with gusts near 20 mph. Roads generally improve, but lingering breezes can keep it feeling cooler after dark.
THURSDAY
Increasingly active again with a growing chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High in the mid 60s. Wind south around 5 mph. Any thunder risk looks conditional, but plan for a few wet windows and brief heavier rain.
THURSDAY NIGHT
Rain becomes likely in the evening, then tapers late. Low in the lower 40s. Wind south around 10 mph, turning west southwest around 10 mph late with gusts near 20 mph. Wet roads are the main issue, plus continued runoff that can aggravate ice jam concerns on area rivers.
7 DAY FORECAST
After tonight’s late fog risk, the week trends unusually mild with highs in the 50s Monday and Tuesday, then a sharp warm surge toward 70 on Wednesday with gustier winds, followed by more showers and a few thunderstorms at times late Wednesday into Thursday and Thursday night. Temperatures ease back closer to seasonal late week, but the bigger story remains the prolonged thaw, elevated river and creek responsiveness, and ongoing potential for ice jam issues as water levels and river ice shift.
