Man accused of attempted homicide after stabbing in San Mateo County

A man was accused of attempted homicide following a stabbing early Saturday morning in Pescadero, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to the area of Bean Hollow Road and Pescadero Creek Road at around 1 a.m. for a stabbing.

, authorities reported that deputies found the victim, who was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Deputies learned a group of people who knew each other drove to the coast when a disturbance occurred inside the vehicle, according to officials. Authorities said a witness told deputies that during the disturbance, the suspect stabbed the victim and ran away.
The sheriff’s office said the suspect was not initially located, but deputies obtained an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Arsenio GonzalezSian of Redwood City. While searching for GonzalezSian, authorities said they were informed of another carjacking nearby.
No weapons were used in the carjacking, and no injuries were reported, according to authorities.
Deputies found the vehicle and the suspect ran away into a heavily wooded area, officials said. The sheriff’s office reports a shelter in place was issued for the area and the suspect was taken into custody at around 10:15 a.m.
Authorities said GonzalesSian was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of attempted homicide, carjacking, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
