CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people were displaced after an apartment fire in Chesterfield County on Friday morning. At about 9:45 a.m on Friday, Feb. 13, Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews responded to a call for a fire at an apartment complex in the 7400 block of Winchester Forest Loop. (Photo Courtesy: Chesterfield County Fire and EMS) When the first firefighters arrived, they found a small fire in a first-floor apartment that was largely extinguished by a sprinkler system. While the damage was contained to one apartment and there were no injuries, fire officials confirmed later that afternoon that two people from that one apartment were displaced.
