Police lights     SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County deputies say an investigation is being started after a fetus was found at a water plant on Friday morning. Authorities say around 11:28 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, deputies were dispatched to a water plant after a report of a fetus being discovered by workers. Deputies responded to the Edgehill Road location and confirmed that there was a human fetus. The fetus was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina. Sheriff Anthony Dennis requested assistance with the investigation from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). Anyone with information that may be helpful to investigators are asked to call the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at 803-436-2000, or dial 911.
