The Meridian Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect accused of pointing a gun at a young female near the 3700 block of N. Centrepoint Way during the early morning hours of Jan. 21, 2026.A news re lease states that officers responded to the area on the day in question after receiving a report of a male suspect burglarizing vehicles. Police say that the male suspect at one point approached a young female and pointed a handgun at her.The victim says she believes the suspect is a juvenile. The suspect was wearing a mask, a black North Face down vest, and black pants.Law enforcement claims the suspect was riding a scooter at the time, which they later found abandoned in the area.Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to reach out to the non-emergency line for Ada County Sheriff's Office at 208-377-6790. ...read more read less
