Person collides with tree at Eldora ski resort prompting helicopter transport out of Nederland
Feb 11, 2026
A person collided with a tree at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort on Wednesday afternoon, and a helicopter was going to Nederland to take the person to a hospital.
The person has injuries serious enough to warrant a helicopter transport, according to Boulder County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Carrie H
averfield, who did not know the extent of the person’s injuries. The sheriff’s office took the call at about 1 p.m., Haverfield said.
Weather in the area prevented the helicopter from landing at Eldora, so it was set to land in Nederland, where the person is being taken, Haverfield said.
