A San Antonio outpost of Round Table Pizza has been knocked off its horse. After a brief four months, the pizzeria at 11040 I-10 near Huebner Road has unexpectedly shuttered, knocking the chain’s Alamo City footprint back down to two.The West Coast franchise has paused online ordering through Yelp and other sites, saying the location is temporarily closed. But a sign taped to the restaurant’s door, first noticed by users of the San Antonio Restaurants Facebook group, indicates that the closure is more permanent, as does a rental listing on LoopNet.“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your loyal support of Round Table Pizza in I-10,” reads the notice. “Serving this community has truly been an honor, and we have greatly enjoyed being part of your family’s gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments.”Round Table took over the former home of Bei Fang Chinese in October 2025, offering the first 100 people in line free pizza for a year. So far, neither parent corporation, FAT Brands, nor local franchisee Brame Brands has commented on the closure. A request for more information was not returned in time for publication.In late January, FAT Brands filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections, closing 32 of its company-owned restaurants: Smokey Bones, Yalla Mediterranean, and Johnny Rockets. None of the shuttered units were in the San Antonio area, according to industry publication The Street.And earlier in February, Utah-based Beans Brews Coffeehouse — which Brame Brands brought to the San Antonio market — closed its last local store. It’s unclear whether Brame owned it at the time or if they are even still in the franchising business.
