For several years now, consumers have bemoaned the ubiquity of subscription-based services. Back in the day, you bought something, it worked for a reasonable period of time, and then you bought a new one. Now that’s changed, and it seems as though everything requires a subscription. In the technol ogy space, this includes software and hardware.
