The Park City Police Department on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 10:08 p.m. reported an unspecified number of juveniles were found at the park-and-ride lot at Richardson Flat. Public police logs indicated “a butane torch laying on the ground” could be seen and someone “had built a potato gun as a s cience experiment for school.” The police described the circumstances as suspicious. Other incidents reported to the Police Department recently included: On Sunday, Feb. 8, at 10:23 p.m., the police received information about a dog that was reported to be wearing a “lit up collar” and “wandering around” off Deer Valley Drive. It was close to ponds, the police were told. An officer pulled over a driver at 10:06 p.m. in the area of Kearns Boulevard and Snow Creek Lane after observing the vehicle without the headlights illuminated. The police indicated the pipes created a traffic hazard. A young moose was seen in the area of Solamere Drive at 5:07 p.m. On Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 7:56 a.m., the police received information about a scent “like a gas leak” on Royal Street. Nobody appeared sick, the police were told. On Monday, Feb. 2, at 7:21 p.m., a driver collided with a deer in the area of Kearns Boulevard and Richardson Flat Road. The police were told the vehicle did not sustain damage, but the animal may have been injured. A three-vehicle accident was reported on S.R. 224 at 3:57 p.m. Nobody was injured, the police said.
