Norristown Area High School is on lockdown, according to a social media post by the school district. The main campus of the high school went into lockdown sometime around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, the district said. Officials said that emergency personnel is on site. SkyForce10 was over the high school on Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. where we could see marked police cars from the West Norriton Police Department parked outside. People could be seen lingering outside of the school. In an update shared by the school district on social media around 3 p.m., officials said the school is still in lockdown but students would be gradually dismissed to get their busses. All after school activities were canceled for Tuesday. No word yet on what led to the emergency response or caused the lockdown to happen. This is a developing story.
