l State of the City address.“It’s been an incredible 14 years,” he said. “I’m a very lucky man.”Moore said he looks forward to spending more time with his family, including his second grandchild, who was born last week.The mayor noted the growth and positive changes to the community during his time in office, including improvements to Utica Pike and 10th Street, Big Four Station and the opening of the Big Four Bridge.“We came in in 2012 wanting to make some changes, wanting to make Jeffersonville better,” he said. “We had some lofty goals to improve our infrastructure, our parks, shopping and dining, our schools, our neighborhoods, and we wanted to bring good-paying jobs to Jeff. We've succeeded on every front.”He said the changes have been a team effort, and praised city employees and department heads “who have excelled to make Jeffersonville the best city in the state of Indiana.”He thanked the community for letting him be mayor, saying he was “as happy today as the day we walked into office, and I appreciate this community so much. I love you guys.”Former Clark County Judge Vicki Carmichael confirmed Tuesday after Moore’s announcement that she plans to run for mayor.
