(Courtesy of WOWT Omaha).FREMONT–(KFOR/News Release Feb. 10)–An update Tuesday on the citation against Horizon Biofuels in the wake of a fatal explosion last July 29 on the south end of Fremont . In a release sent Tuesday, OSHA outlined citations placed against Horizon Biofuels for violations including combustible dust buildup, failure to ensure equipment within the facility was protected from creating an ignition source and lack of fall protection for employees working at heights greater than four feet. The citations carry over $147,000 in proposed penalties. Penalties and citations are subject to change, according to OSHA, and the company has 15 days from the receipt of their citations and penalties to comply, or contest the findings before the independent OSHA commission.
