INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The U.S. Postal Service will host a job fair in Indianapolis to fill several open positions in the city and surrounding areas. The event will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 21 at the U.S. Postal Service Conference Center, 8765 Guion Road. That’s at the northwest of the intersection of West 86th Street and Michigan Road on the northwest side of Indianapolis. A news release issued Monday said rural carrier associate positions start at $21.89 an hour, and include a benefits package of both medical and dental coverage. Other positions: assistant rural carrier, $21.89 an hour; city carrier, $26.28 an hour; city carrier assistance clerk, $21.44 an hour; postal support employee mail processing clerk, $21.44 an hour; postal support employee and service/distribution associate, $21.44 an hour; and auto technician, $33 an hour. People can apply online or at the fair. The Postal Service will provide computers at the conference center to apply for jobs, and staff will be available to help people. The release did not say how many positions are available. Angela Brown is the job fair coordinator and workforce planning specialist for the Indiana District U.S. Postal Service.
