INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Township Line Road overpass at Interstate 465 is scheduled to reopen on or after Tuesday, ahead if its original schedule, the Indiana Department of Transportation said Monday. The bridge, which spans Interstate 465 south of the Marion and Hamilton county line, clos ed in the summer 2025 for a full replacement project. Crews will continue work on the underside of the structure and remaining surface details once the overpass opens. Lane closures are planned on Interstate 465 next week as crews perform final work on the underside of the bridge. The nightly closures are scheduled from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from U.S. 421, also known as Michigan Road, to Ditch Road. The work is weather-dependent and subject to change. Westbound lane closures on I-465 will happen from Feb. 16 through Feb. 19. The two right lanes are scheduled to close on Feb. 16 and Feb. 17. The two left lanes will then close on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19. Eastbound lane closures are set to follow the westbound work. The two left lanes on I-465 eastbound will close on Feb. 20 and Feb. 21. The two right lanes will be closed on Feb. 23 and Feb. 24. The bridge structure still needs its final pavement markings and asphalt work. The bridge is expected to close again for about one week in the spring for final pavement and marking work.
