game. They’ll take on Sweden for the gold on Tuesday.USA women’s hockey looks to improve to 3-0 as it takes on Switzerland (1-1). The Americans won their first two games by a combined score of 10-1.Freeskier Eileen Gu, a San Francisco native who competes for China, earned her second straight Olympic slopestyle silver. Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud secured back-to-back gold medals in the event.Star U.S. speed skaters Brittany Bowe and Erin Jackson finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in the women’s 1000m. Jutta Leerdam of the Netherlands won gold with an Olympic record.The U.S. won its first two Olympic medals of the 2026 Winter Games on Sunday, both gold, but the excitement was tempered by the abrupt end of alpine skier Lindsey Vonn’s comeback when she crashed just seconds into her downhill run.
