The Concerned Pastors and Ministers of Trenton and Vicinity announce the election of Rev. Patricia A. Hall as its new president. Rev. Hall received the appointment during the organization’s December 2025 meeting and will begin her term in January 2026. Clergy, community leaders, and the public a re invited to attend the installation of the newly elected officers on Sunday, March 15, at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Baptist Church, Oregon Avenue, Ewing, NJ. The service will feature Rev. Dr. Melinda Contreras-Byrd, supervisor of the 17th District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, as the guest preacher. Rev. Hall currently serves as the Pastor of ANEW Way Church, a nondenominational ministry that functions as an online faith community, often described as a “church without walls,” dedicated to spiritual formation, discipleship, and community engagement. She retired from the Trenton Free Public Library after 33 years of distinguished service, ending her career after four years in the executive director’s chair, where she was recognized for her commitment to education, literacy, and community partnership. Rev. Hall is also currently employed by the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, where she serves as an education specialist, providing prevention education and outreach to youth and communities across the state. Reflecting on her election, Rev. Hall shared a personal statement emphasizing her vision for unity: “My heart’s focus as President is unity within the Body of Believers. In a time when division often speaks louder than faith, I believe God is calling the Church to walk together—across denominations, traditions, and congregational lines—so that our collective witness reflects the love, purpose, and power of Christ. Unity does not mean uniformity, but it does require humility, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to serving both God and our communities.” Joining Rev. Hall in leadership are the newly elected officers of the Concerned Pastors and Ministers of Trenton and Vicinity, including Vice President Rev. Edgar Diaz of  Galilee Baptist Church; Evangelist Shirley Finney of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church; and Rev. Jeanette Spann-Picott Co-Pastor of Living Word Ministries Christian Center, and Rev. Roscoe Bell of St. John’s Baptist Church. Together, this leadership team represents a diverse and collaborative body of clergy committed to strengthening unity, service, and spiritual impact throughout Trenton and the surrounding communities. The organization also extends heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing President, Rev. Dr. John H. Harris, Pastor of Galilee Baptist Church, who faithfully served the Concerned Pastors and Ministers of Trenton and Vicinity for more than two terms. ...read more read less
