LIST: Central Virginia schools going virtual, delayed on Thursday due to icy roads

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Some Central Virginia school districts will be closed, shift to virtual learning or operate on a two-hour delay on Thursday due to dangerous roads from lingering winter storm impacts.
School districts across Central Virginia were either closed or had virtual learning for th
e entirety of last week, which has continued into this week due to icy road conditions from the winter storm over the weekend of Jan. 24.
The following districts will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 5:
Essex County Public Schools
Students are to complete provided assignments.
Hanover County Public Schools
Mecklenburg County Public Schools
The following districts will turn to virtual learning on Thursday:
King and Queen County Public Schools
King William County Public Schools
The following districts will be operating on a two-hour delay on Thursday:
Brunswick County Public Schools
Caroline County Public Schools
Charles City County Public Schools
Chesterfield County Public Schools
Dinwiddie County Public Schools
Fluvanna County Public Schools
Goochland County Public Schools
Henrico County Public Schools
Hopewell City Public Schools
Louisa County Public Schools
Petersburg City Public Schools
Sussex County Public Schools
The following district will be operating on a two-hour delay on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 6:
Cumberland County Public Schools
