LAWRWENCE, Ind. (WISH) — Lawrence police are investigating after officers found a juvenile shot in the ear on Tuesday morning. Around 10:45 a.m., Lawrence Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired near East 53rd Street and Boy Scout Road. That’s a residential area ab out 1.5 miles south of Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. Upon arrival, police found an abandoned vehicle that had crashed into trees, according to Travis Cline, deputy chief of police. During the investigation, officers located a juvenile with a “non-life-threatening” gunshot wound to the ear, Cline says. The juvenile received medical treatment for the injury. It’s not clear what led to the shooting. Police have not identified any suspects, and no arrests have been made.
