Mon evening forecast – Feb 2, 2026 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’re aiming to not be as frigid as last week for the first week of February. However, temperatures look to remain near to below normal with a couple of chances for snow. Monday night: Cloudy with near normal low temperatures in t he low 20s. Tuesday: A narrow band of snow looks to form somewhere closer to I-70 and drift southeast through the morning into afternoon hours. This could drop up to 1-2″ of snow for locations closer to Bloomington-Columbus and points south and east. If any accumulation occurs in the Indy metro, it will be mainly under an inch. Regardless, this will cause additional slick spots to form, which in tandem with the snow potential is why Winter Weather Advisories will be in place for southeastern Indiana on Tuesday. Highs in the upper 20s to low 30s. Wednesday: Tuesday’s system forces us back down a little temperature wise, but we also see more sunshine emerge for Wednesday. Highs will only top out in the low to mid 20s. 7-Day Forecast: We look to make an attempt at above freezing temperatures Friday ahead of our next weather system. By this point, it would be two weeks since the last day of above freezing high temperatures. Additional snow chances will be on board Friday with another shot of reinforcing cold this weekend. Highs Saturday will fall back into the low 20s, but heading into next week, there are signals of a more pronounced warmup. We’ll keep an eye on how this progresses with the longer range models, but we can’t put a whole lot of stock into it yet. ...read more read less
