FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A horse is safe and recovering after falling onto a frozen pond in Franklin County and becoming trapped on the ice. According to the Franklin County Fire Department, crews were called out Friday after receiving multiple reports about the horse stuck on t he frozen surface. Firefighters worked carefully to reach the animal and pull it to safety. Officials say the horse was not injured during the rescue and is now doing well. Crews praised quick calls from concerned residents, saying the fast response helped prevent the situation from becoming much worse.
