INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The town of Speedway is under a boil water advisory on Monday due to multiple water main breaks on Sunday. The boil water advisory affects all residents and businesses town-wide, effective immediately and until further notice. Confirmed water main breaks have occurr ed at the following locations: 2012 N. Auburn St. 5151 W. 21st St. Former MCL Cafeteria area/shopping center near 2000 N. Auburn St. Town workers have isolated affected areas and placed traffic cones at known break locations. Crews are working to restore water service. Residents may experience water outages and low water pressure while repairs continue. What a water boil advisory means Until the advisory is lifted: Boil all tap water for at least one (1) minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing food Use bottled water as an alternative if available Discard ice made with tap water during this time Water may generally be used for bathing and cleaning, but care should be taken to avoid ingesting water. ...read more read less
