A man who worked at multiple Pennsylvania schools as a substitute teacher, soccer coach and instructional assistant has been arrested on child pornography charges, prosecutors said Thursday.
Charles Lucas Dingman, 29, of Yardley, is accused of using the social media platforms Snapchat and Twitch to
encourage girls to send him explicit images and directing some to perform suggestive acts on camera, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
On Jan. 16, the office received three cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a person using the platforms to solicit explicit material from minors.
In one message shared on Snapchat, the suspect, later identified as Dingman, posed as a 13-year-old girl to encourage other minors to send him explicit images, prosecutors said.
Dingman allegedly also used a Twitch stream to direct a minor female to perform suggestive acts on camera.
During the investigation, detectives traced Dingman’s digital activity to his home in Yardley. He was arrested Thursday morning and told police that child sexual abuse material would be found on his cellphone, according to a criminal complaint.
Dingman was most recently employed as a part-time instructional assistant at Holland Elementary School in the Council Rock School District and has been since been terminated, district officials said.
Investigators said there’s no evidence to suggest that any students at the school were involved in his alleged actions.
