INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Cold conditions once again today. We will continue to see this pattern for the first part of the weekend. Temperatures do begin to moderate on Sunday and especially next week where we could get close to freezing for the mid
dle part of the week.
TODAY: More clouds today than the last few days. Winds will not be terrible out of the north anywhere from 5 to 10 mph. We will look for high temperatures to climb right around 17 degrees. The normal high for this time of year is 37 so we will still be 20 degrees below normal.
TONIGHT: A few clouds during the overnight hours and once again frigid. Low temperatures will be near zero in the city with outlying areas falling below 0 once again. We do have a cold weather advisory that will go into place for eastern Indiana and southern parts of Indiana as well. For wind chill values that may reach 10 to 15 degrees below zero.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy conditions for your Saturday a few flurries possible in central Indiana. More significant snow across parts of northwest Indiana with lake effect bands setting up.
Some spots in northern Indiana may see four to six inches of snowfall. It will be cold on Saturday with highs only near 16.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Some sun on Sunday. Temperatures climb near 23.
Even warmer conditions will be possible in the middle and latter half of the week. Look for highs on Monday near 28 with mostly cloudy conditions. A few areas of snow could be possible as a weak clipper system moves across the Great Lakes on Monday. We’ll see dry conditions on Tuesday. On Wednesday we’re going to be tracking another system that will move across the Ohio River valley that could produce some light snow accumulations across parts of Indiana.
