(CNN)– Elon Musk says Tesla’s future won’t rely on cars at all. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, he said the company plans to stop making the Model S and Model X in favor of making more of its Optimus humanoid robots. Musk claims the robots could clean homes, perform surgery, and make human labor optional. He even called the robots the key to reaching Mars and ending world poverty.
