Nicki Minaj is relishing in the rewards for her recent support for the MAGA movement. The Grammy-nominated rapper, who declared herself to be President Trump’s “No. 1 fan” on Wednesday, later took to social media to show off her Trump “Gold Card,” a new program that offers a fast-track for wealthy immigrants to gain legal U.S. residency and eventually a pathway to citizenship. For most individuals, the Gold Card costs $1 million, plus a $15,000 screening fee. But Minaj, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, said her card came “free of charge.” She boasted about her latest bling in a post on X, sharing a photo of the shiny card emblazoned with Trump’s face. “Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per my wonderful, gracious, charming president … I wouldn’t have done it without you,” she wrote in a follow-up post, referring to herself as “CitizenNIKA.” Nicki Minaj posted a photo of her Trump gold card on X. You would think that with the millions of dollars that I’ve paid in taxes to this country that I would have been given an honorary citizenship many, many, many thousands of years ago.” Years before she began cozying up to Trump, Minaj criticized the U.S. government’s family-separation policies when sharing her own story of illegal immigration. But within the past few months, amid controversy surrounding the polarizing presence of ICE agents in American cities, the former chart-topper has embraced right-wing political leanings — and has lost a slew of fans in the process. It actually motivates me to support him more.” ...read more read less
