INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Cold once again for your Thursday morning. Temperatures will start out below zero this morning. Temperatures will stay well below normal for highs during the day with readings only into the teens. We are tracking a few very
light snow chances heading into the weekend. A slight warm-up is in sight for the middle part of next week.
TODAY: Temperatures below zero this morning with some sunshine at times. The winds are not going to be as bad as they were yesterday. Very light conditions expected all day long today It is still going to be incredibly cold with high temperatures only around 16.
TONIGHT: Another frigid evening with temperatures falling below zero. Look for a few clouds here or there during the overnight hours with light winds.
TOMORROW: On Friday look for a cold start. Partly cloudy skies for the afternoon with high temperatures climbing once again into the teens. The winds are not going to be bad to end the work week either.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: This weekend we do have a few snow chances across parts of Northern Indiana. Significant snowfall from lake effect banding setting up in Northwest Indiana. We may see a few clouds and a few flurries possible in central Indiana from some of these like effect bands. It is going to still be incredibly cold with highs only near 15 in Indianapolis. On Sunday we’ll look for a mix of sun and clouds, continuing cold with high temperatures around 22.
Next week it does look like we have a little improvement with our temperatures. We will look for highs near 28° on Monday under mostly cloudy skies. Could see a few snow showers possible as a system moves across the Great Lakes. It does not look like we will see significant snowfall accumulation. On Tuesday high temperatures will climb close to 30°. Look for partly cloudy skies and temperatures again near 30 heading into Tuesday.
