The mountain lion captured in San Francisco Tuesday is back where it belongs. State fish and wildlife posted a video showing the big cat being released into the Santa Cruz mountains early this morning. Watch the footage in the video player above. The animal was spotted roaming the streets of t he Pacific Heights neighborhood Tuesday. Two San Francisco police officers followed him to an apartment building at California and Octavia and used a tranquilizer gun to safely capture it.
