re full of New Glarus beer.Watch: Semi truck full of New Glarus beer kegs crashes in Dodge County Semi truck carrying beer crashesThe crash happened around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, on U.S. Highway 151 northbound at State Highway 26, according to the Dodge County Sheriffs Office.According to the sheriffs office, the crash happened after a 61-year-old truck operator from Marshall left the roadway and struck a guardrail, causing the truck to overturn and block northbound lanes.About 500 feet from a serious crash on Highway 151, staff at the Wild Goose Caf and Heritage Ridge Travel Plaza sprang into action.Line prep cook Tami Hammann says they quickly made breakfast sandwiches and hot coffee for first responders battling the cold for nearly eight hours. It felt good that we could help them keep them warm somehow, Hammann said. The caf, a regular stop for truckers, became a welcome warm-up spot until the highway fully reopened.The cause of the crash and the truck driver's condition are unknown.The Dodge County Sheriffs Office is leading an investigation into the crash.Its about time to watch on your time.
