BERKELEY, Calif. (KRON) -- Firefighters in Berkeley are battling a massive fire at an abandoned warehouse. According to the California Highway Patrol, the fire is in the area of Interstate 80 and University Avenue. Mountain lion spotted in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood Firefighters first responded to the blaze at around 4:26 a.m., the Berkeley Fire Department told KRON4. Crews responded to a report about a fire right off the freeway and arrived to find a large warehouse on fire right next to Berkeley Forge Tool. The building was engulfed in flames. The two-alarm structure was brought under control at 5:35 a.m. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Engine crews remain on the scene checking for hotspots.
