  COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The amount of measles cases in the state related to the Upstate outbreak continues to climb as more cases are being reported, says SCDPH. South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) says 89 new cases of measles  have been reported in the state since Friday, Jan. 23, 2026. The new cases brings the total number of cases in South Carolina related to the Upstate outbreak to 789. Based on the new cases, DPH has identified public exposures at the following schools: Dorman High, Inman Intermediate, and New Prospect Elementary.
